What are the best roads to live on?

Winchmore Hill is centred around The Green, there some beautiful roads such as Compton Road, Orpington Road and Vicars Moor Lane where you’ll find stunning period properties, mainly early 1900’s Edwardian houses however there are a Victorian houses amongst them too.  The famous Broad Walk with its palatial homes runs alongside Grovelands Park is considered the most prestigious roads in North London.

Hidden Gems – is there something about the area no one really knows about?

Grovelands Park - at 37 hectares it's not that hidden, but it is a wonderful peaceful oasis listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Another not quite so hidden gem is The Larder, it’s a charming café in the heart of The Green, the owner Michael and his team are super friendly and they make a cracking coffee too.

Anything else you should know about Winchmore Hill?

The legend that is Rod Stewart lived in Winchmore Hill on the prestigious Broad Walk. His house later became the contestants’ home on X-Factor.
