Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a community-based hospice service providing support for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in the North and Central London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington, and Hertsmere. Martyn Gerrard have been close supporters of Noah's Ark for over 10 years.
The children we work with have a range of conditions and often have very complex needs. Our services aim to help the children, their siblings and parents make the most of the time they have together, and we continue to support the families after bereavement. Every year Noah's Ark run small and large events throughout the year to help promote and raise much-needed funds for the hospice and Martyn Gerrard have been major sponsors of the 3 main events over the last few years. These include the very popular rainbow run, Special Moments concert and Hendon Golf Day 3 of the biggest money-raising events of the year.
This year Noah's Ark have kicked off their most ambitious project to date Building the Ark
Complementing our Hospice-at-Home and community-based services, a hospice building will allow us to offer a wider range of care to over 1,200 babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions in our catchment areas.
The hospice will be built on a 7.5 acre nature reserve and will provide a space for relaxation and adventure and for children and their families to connect with others facing similar challenges. It will be a home-from-home for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, giving them the time and space to be children and not just patients.
The great and the good of the construction industry have come together to support our charity in helping us to build The Ark. It will be North and Central London’s only children’s hospice building.
London’s property giants – including JLL UK, Pears Property, Sellar Property and Erith Demolition – have contributed hours of pro bono support for the construction of our vital children’s hospice. But it’s not just about building a building. We also need to fit it out with beds and furniture, doors and heaters, and a long list of other essential items where we’ve also been looking to reduce costs with the support of some fantastic companies. Our build partner 8build have also been engaging their Subcontractors to also get involved and help drive down the cost of the build and fit out our new hospice building.
North and Central London and Hertsmere are not served by a children’s hospice building; and the NHS doesn’t fund children’s hospice provision. But, thanks to community support over many years, Noah’s Ark is ready to start constructing just such a building.

Rainbow Run 2018
Noah’s Ark was joined by Tottenham Hotspur’s Club Ambassador Ledley King who gave the starters’ orders for our Rainbow Run in Trent Park, Enfield.
The Noah’s Ark Rainbow Run is an annual fun run which saw families run either a 1.5km Little Loop or a 5km Big Loop while being showered in a kaleidoscope of colored powder. After completing the run, Ledley and Noah’s Ark’s mascot Henry the Hippo joined participants as they enjoyed activities such as face painting, live music, and a bouncy castle. Over 180 people took part in the event which raised £11,300!
