What’s great about the area?

Barnet is the perfect compromise between lively London living and bringing up a family. Access to central London is so easy you can be there within 25 – 30 minutes via the Underground (Northern Line) or the New Barnet Overground. But we have so much greenery on our doorstep along with easy access to major motorways and the majority of London airports. Not only do we have one of the best Boys schools in the country but a lot of our schools are outstanding and much sought after.

Barnet is one of the highest points in London. Once a year Barnet Church opens its tower to the public. The climb is worthwhile as the views from the top are stunning.

The town dates back to the 12th century. The local market, one of the oldest in England, was issued its charter by King John in 1199.

Just to the north of High Street is the site of the Battle of Barnet, one of the most important battles in the Wars of the Roses.
