A real mix of styles and architecture means that there is something to suit every taste in Highgate. Close to Hampstead Heath and views across to the City make it a picturesque place to set up home. Highly rated private schools and a friendly community make Highgate an ideal location for families – as do the many open, green spaces and independent shops and cafes.

You can find a variety of property in Highgate from Georgian townhouses to mock-Tudor houses and flats on the Holly Lodge Estate. 
 
There are pre & post war mansion blocks and modern developments of ultra-modern apartments.

Hidden Gem – is there something about the area no one really knows about?

We admit it's not exactly hidden, but we highy recommend the 28 hectares of fabulous woodland of  Highgate Wood.  Mentioned in the Doomsday Book pottery from Roman times has been found there. It is listed as one of only eight Green Heritage Sites in London.

There are some many green spaces around the area. Along with Highgate Wood there is Hampstead Heath and Waterlow Park close by. There is also Highgate Cemetery, world famous with many noteworthy graves including Karl Marx, Douglas Adams and Jeremy Beadle, It makes for a facinating walk, although we wouldnt go at night!
